"Ripple Effect" is a project born from interviews with three Israeli women residing in Canada, where we collaboratively constructed a genogram detailing their family histories. The resulting artwork takes the form of a visual, three-dimensional sculpture, influenced by the narratives shared during these conversations. It encapsulates the profound interplay between home, resonating wounds, and connection within the container of personal histories.
Presented at the group exhibition "Home Sweet Home" at the Binyamini Gallery in Tel Aviv, Israel, in February 2017, the project delves into the intricate layers of familial relationships. A genogram, surpassing the conventions of a traditional family tree, serves as the foundational tool. It allows for an in-depth exploration of hereditary patterns and psychological factors, enriching our understanding of the complex web of connections that shape our lives.
